Iida has been awarded the International BelCanto Prize at the Rossini in Wildbad Opera Festival.
The prize has been a vital part of the festival since 1998 and has been awarded to singers such as Agata Bienkowska, Pavol Brslik, Olga Peretyatko, Serena Malfi, Diana Haller, Sofia Mchedlishvili, Sara Blanch, Serena Saenz and others.
The International Belcanto Prize 2022 includes a role offer for one of the following festivals as well as a recognition prize of 1000 Euro donated by the Swiss Foundation Classic Pro bono. Iida shares the prize this year with Korean bass baritone Jusung Gabriel Park. Iida was also awarded the Audience prize.
Iida was also the recipient of the Inge Borkh scholarship this year. The scholarship, awarded annually to a young soprano, carries the name of one of the greatest Wagner and Strauss singer of our time, Inge Borkh, who was a tireless visitor of the festival until her death at the age of 97 and was passionate about the development of young singers.
