Iida will be making her debut at the Dutch National Opera as Vlasta in Die Passagierin by Mieczysław Weinberg, in the award-winning production by Tobias Kratzer.
The piece was written in 1968 but only first performed in 2006, because of the sensitive subject matter. The opera tells a story about a former SS guard Lisa, who while on a cruise ship, recognises a passenger she once oversaw at a concentration camp in Auschwitz.
Performances run between April 17 and May 2.
