Iida and Anni at the Lied Academy d’Orsay-Roayumont

Iida and pianist Anni Laukkanen have been chosen as one of the four duos for the 2023-2024 d’Orsay-Royaumont Lied Academy.

In 2018, the Musée d’Orsay and the Royaumont Foundation founded an academy dedicated to the art of song, teaching students to create connections between the worlds of music and visual arts. During the year, the Academy organises four week-long master classes at the Royaumont Abbey, taught by Matthew Rose and Brian Zeger, Véronique Gens and Susan Manoff, Stéphane Degout and Simon Lepper, Anne Sofie Von Otter and Kristian Bezuidenhout, as well as art history classes at the Musée d’Orsay, where the scholarship holders also perform during a year. At the end of the year, the Academy participants record a CD and perform on tour both in France and abroad.

Following four duos were selected through auditions:

  • Joël Terrin, baritone ; Cole Knutson, piano ;
  • Jeeyoung Lim, bassbaritone ; Gyeongtaek Lee, piano.
